Josip's rare process offers our art lovers and collectors who seek unique pieces that appreciate over time an element of not-seen-before in addition to a technique never seen before.
Born in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Mijić is a contemporary artist with unique pieces that push the boundaries of what is possible. With a focus on fine art and crypto/NFT art, Josip's process is minimalistic, but the simplicity of his shapes is not necessarily equalized with the simplicity of the experience. He is known to merge opposing elements, highlight the enigma of space, and find the monumental in something small.
Since 1997, Josip Mijić has had 34 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 200 group exhibitions in Bosnia & Herzegovina and abroad. His artwork can be found in many collections, including the National Gallery of Bosnia and Hercegovina (Sarajevo, BiH), the Catalonian National Library (Barcelona, Spain), the Franciscan Museum and Široki Brijeg Gallery (Široki Brijeg, BiH), the Association of Anonymous Artists (Banja Luka, BiH), the Gallery "Fonticus" (Grožnjan, Croatia), and many others.
Josip used his blood in the Life in a Box collection, which presented that dark has its own fettered and its own liberatory place. And in Josip's Aranea collection, he used a real spider web, which directly leans on his continual and multiannual exploration of the identity of the dark (color black) and the identity of matter in sacral and contemporary art.
With Josip' exceptional ability to mingle NFT with traditional art, he offers uniqueness to every collection.
